Oil / Water Separator Process

The ACO oil/water separator is based on the principle of gravity and does not use enzymes or chemicals to separate the oil from the water. In the first chamber oils and grease, which are lighter than water, float at the surface while solids such as sand will sink. This allows the oils and grease to flow into the second chamber where they can be removed for disposal, while the clean water will empty from the bottom.
