Multifamily & Residential
Apartments and townhouses complexes may need different types of drainage systems that have different load and terrain specifications. The presence of pedestrians as well as vehicles require drains with grates that are ADA, bike, and wheel chair safe. Houses can also benefit from heavier duty trench drain to ensure the longevity of the application and effective water discharge management.

Considerations
Loading
- For pedestrian only areas, a system and grate with a minimum Load Rating of Class A is recommended.
- Parking areas will need to withstand frequent car and truck traffic, a drainage system and grate with a minimum Load Rating of Class C or higher is recommended
Application
- ADA compliant and/or slip resistant grates may be required in pedestrian access areas
- Safety, ADA compliance and aesthetics in shower areas can be enhanced with linear shower drains
Areas with large run-off volumes may be ideal for modular water storage such as ACO StormBrixx
