Pepco

Rockville, Maryland

The Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) is a public company that provides electricity to the city of Washington, D.C. and nearby Maryland municipalities

Problem:

Pepco's parking lot is experiencing serious drainage issues and water pooling seems to be a major issue in places with considerable traffic. The impermeable surface of the commercial parking lot area generated a huge amount of rainwater pooling, posing a safety concern for motorists passing through the region.

ACO Solution:
  • ACO Drain®
  • KlassikDrain K200 with Type 678Q
  • Longitudinal Ductile Iron Grates

After meeting with an ACO Technical Service representative and providing layout schematics, it was evident that the K200 was the best solution for the project. Throughout the parking lot, over 800 linear feet of K200 channels with Type 678Q grates have been installed.
