Schutz Container Systems is a global manufacturer of intermediate bulk containers for fluid transport and storage, including specialty liquids that are difficult to handle, as well as steel and plastic drums and tanks. Schutz Container Systems employs 600 people across seven locations in the United States, making it the largest IBC production network in the country.
Problem:
The facility was a fast-track project, using the tilt-up concrete construction method. This 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility includes two bridge cranes, a rail spur, soil remediation, a TPO roof, dock levelers, and a trench drain installation.

Because the contractor was familiar with ACO's PowerDrain S300K and had used it on previous projects with positive results, the S300K was specified. The slotted ductile iron grates are rated Load Class F which can withstand the constant movement of heavy load vehicles crossing over the grates.
