Considerations
Loading
- Parking areas will need to withstand frequent car and truck traffic, a drainage system and grate with a minimum Load Rating of Class C or higher is recommended
- For pedestrian only areas, a system and grate with a minimum Load Rating of Class A is recommended. If wheeled carts are likely for deliveries then a higher load rating should be considered
Application
- ADA compliant, HeelSafe, and/or slip resistant grates may be required in pedestrian access areas
- Wastewater from parking areas may contain hydrocarbons and an oil/water separator may be required
- Commercial food service areas may require a hygienic drainage solution
Areas with large run-off volumes may be ideal for modular water storage such as ACO StormBrixx
