Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, also known as DFW Airport, is the primary international airport serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. It is the largest hub for American Airlines, which has its headquarters near the airport.

Problem:

An aircraft fueling ramp at Terminal D at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport needed to meet the requirements of the NFPA 415 standard, which specifies that drainage system components must be noncombustible. In addition, the grates need to withstand heavy vehicle and aircraft loadings.

ACO Solution:

A custom Aquaduct 8" wide fiberglass trench drain with ductile iron grates was used around the Terminal's concourses. To meet noncombustible requirements, fiberglass channels were created using a halogenated vinyl ester resin.
