Loyola University Maryland
Baltimore, Maryland
Loyola University Maryland is a private Jesuit university in Baltimore, Maryland. All new buildings and major renovation projects at Loyola University Maryland will be built in accordance with the University's new Green Building Policy.
Problem:
The project required a drainage system that did not compromise aesthetics. The architecture of the new building had to match and complement that of Beatty Hall, one of the university's historic buildings, and the newly installed drainage system had to do the same.
ACO Solution:
- ACO Drain®
- KlassikDrain K300 with Type 876D
- Longitudinal Ductile Iron Grates
The K300 was chosen because it not only complemented the architecture's aesthetics, but it also efficiently and quickly drained any runoff from the area, clearing it of any hazards. ACO's DrainLok grates are fitted with an anti-shunt mechanism that restricts unwanted grate movement when installed, improving durability and longevity of the system.
