North Carolina State University, Paul H. Derr Track and Field

In 1951, the University named Paul H. Derr Professor and Head of the Department of Physical Education. A new track facility on the main campus was named in his honor in 2006.
Problem:
During the refurbishment of the schools athletic facilities, the drainage for the track was to be replaced.
ACO Solution:
- System 2000
During the repair and improvements of the Paul Derr Track at North Carolina State University ACO Sport System 2000 slotted trench drains were used around the entire 400 meter track. The smooth, flat surface of the slotted system allows track material to be bonded to the trench to anchor the track surface in place. System 2000 is available in straight and radiused sections to fit exactly around a 400 meter track. Due to the extremely close tolerances of the box-like structure of System 2000 it makes it ideal for the strict tolerances on IAAF tracks.
