Phoenix Valley Metro Rail

Phoenix Valley Metro Rail

Phoenix, Arizona

The Phoenix Valley Metro Light Rail added 42 miles of new light rail and hosted stations in the metropolitan area. Today, approximately 50,000 riders use the system daily.

Problem:

The construction of the Phoenix Valley Metro Light Rail called for a variety of surface drainage solutions. Although Arizona is a desert state, when it rains it can be quite intensive, and the designers wanted to make sure the light rail infrastructure within the Phoenix city center was always completely clear of surface water.

ACO Solution:
  • ACO Drain®
  • PowerDrain® S300K
  • Longitudinal Ductile Iron Grate

ACO PowerDrain S300K system integrally cast ductile iron edge rail offers maximum strength and protection of the channel. The longitudinal ductile iron grates can withstand the constant movement of traffic and any chemicals that may spill from leaky vehicles.
