Wrigley Field
Chicago, Illinois
Wrigley Field was opened as Weeghman Park in 1914 and has been the home baseball stadium of the Chicago Cubs since 1916.
Problem:
Renovations to restore and rehabilitate the stadium included the addition of trench drains. A drainage system was required which could handle the load capacity of constant truck traffic while also being easy to clean and maintain.
ACO Solution:
- ACO Drain®
- PowerDrain® S200K
- Longitudinal Ductile Iron Grates
310' (92 channels) of PowerDrain S200K with PowerLok® Longitudinal Ductile Iron grates are were installed and now encompasses most of the historic ballpark. ACO PowerDrain is a heavy-duty sloped trench drain system for applications that will need to withstand higher than normal loading and frequent traffic. The ADA compliant longitudinal grate, with PowerLok, gives the ideal solution to a heavy duty location where some pedestrian access may be required.
