Fountains & Landmarks
Parks and fountains can take in many sizes and shapes and may require a variety of drainage solutions that range from high water intake grates to discreet slots that are hardly noticeable. ACO decorative grates offer function alongside an elevated look.
ACO offers attractive grating options for its trench drains that are safe for families with small children playing around water. ACO Drain products can be found in many national and international landmarks, with installations in famous American locations including:
- World Trade Center, NY

Considerations
Loading
- For pedestrian only areas, a system and grate with a minimum Load Rating of Class A is recommended.
- Parking areas will need to withstand frequent car and truck traffic, a drainage system and grate with a minimum Load Rating of Class C or higher is recommended
Application
- Aesthetics and grate choice or use of a discreet slotted system may be a priority
- ADA compliant, Heelsafe, and/or slip resistant grates may be required in pedestrian areas
- Restricted construction depths may necessitate a shallow invert drainage system
Areas with large run-off volumes may be ideal for modular water storage such as ACO StormBrixx
