Arrowhead Stadium

Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium boasts a 76,000+ seating capacity to support fans of its NFL home team Kansas City Chiefs. The stadium also supports college football, soccer, concerts, and other various events.

Problem:

Simple, unobtrusive drainage was needed around the perimeter of the playing field to remain out of the way of both players and sideline personnel. Additional drainage was requested for the outer stadium, which required grating that would blend in with the surrounding concrete walkways and curbs.

ACO Sport System 4000 trench drains are located around the edge of the field to quickly and effectively remove stormwater, minimizing game delays and removing excess surface water from the irrigation used on the natural grass field. Black plastic ADA-compliant grates are used to enhance aesthetics, while matching gray grates are installed in the KlassikDrain K100 channels outside of the venue.
