Golden 1 Center is an indoor arena in downtown Sacramento, California. The arena is part of the Downtown Commons (DoCo) commercial and entertainment complex, which also includes a $250 million 16-story mixed-use tower.
Problem:
The customer requested a simple, unobtrusive solution that is both aesthetically beautiful and pedestrian-safe.
ACO Solution:

The KS100 with perforated steel grates met all of these criteria without compromising any hydraulic or loading capabilities. Furthermore, the Type 411D grate complemented the overall design of the arena's exterior. The Type 411D by ACO is designed with the DrainLok system, a patented reinforcement underneath the grate, to prevent bowing and collapse. All pedestrian safety regulations are met by the lockable perforated grate.
