Port of Seattle Pier 115
Seattle, Washington
The T115 Port of Seattle has about 70 acres of altiplano. Pier T115 is suitable for marine applications such as bulk cargo receiving and transport. Several 30-inch stormwater outfalls are located near the site.
Problem:
The Port required an effective drainage system to manage stormwater runoff and prevent ponding in the cargo area.
ACO Solution:
- ACO Drain®
- PowerDrain® S100K
- Slotted Ductile Iron Grates
The PowerDrain S100K heavy duty trench drain system was chosen because it allowed for the maintenance of a level plane, which is safer for vehicles to operate on. PowerDrain ductile iron grates could withstand constant traffic and support heavy shipments of cargo. S100K has been tested up to Load Class F to deal with the wide variety of vehicles that would be using the road.
