Hard Rock Stadium is a renowned venue, serving as the home of the the NFL's Miami Dolphins and University of Miami Hurricanes. The stadium has hosted the second-most Super Bowls of any venue in the nation and matches for two FIFA World Cups as of 2026. The 65,000+ capacity stadium also accomodates concerts, tennis, boxing, and a wide variety of other events.

Problem:

Along with the standard drainage needs of any NFL stadium, Hard Rock Stadium required additional loading considerations outside of the stadium in preparation for the Miami International Autodrome (a temporary Formula 1 circuit), and overall high-capacity drainage to account for potential storms, including hurricanes.

KlassikDrain K100 was installed around the field to withstand wheeled groundskeeping equipment. PowerDrain S100K/S200K and KlassikDrain K200 are used outside the stadium in areas that accomodate both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. All channels include heavy-duty ductile iron longitudinal grates to withstand expected equipment loads.

Additionally, a custom version of MonoBloc HD200 was installed around the Formula 1 track outside the stadium. The monolithic channels prevent loose drain parts such as grates and bolts from endangering drivers while withstanding the extreme loads generated by high-speed F1 race cars.
